Depending upon the option chosen, the Pfeiffer TPG 300 can measure total pressure from atmosphere to 10^[-11] mbar. It comes with the ability to trigger a number of pressure-dependent functions to control and monitor vacuum devices and their respective processes.

 

A Brief Overview of Pressure Measurement Within a Vacuum System:


Pressure measurement is the analysis of an applied force by a fluid (liquid or gas) on a surface. Pressure is typically measured in units of force per unit of surface area - the Pascal (Pa) is the SI unit commonly used to measure pressure, equivalent to one newton per square meter. Alternatively, pounds per square inch (psi) can also be used as a unit of pressure measurement. Differential pressure is likewise an important concept in the field of pressure measurement, as it conveys the difference in pressure between two points or systems.
