Edwards PV25EKA Solenoid Isolation Valve, 110-127 V, Single Phase, 50/60 Hz, Aluminum, C41303000

Overview:

The Edwards PV25EK series valves are compact, light-weight electromagnetic vacuum valves suitable for use in vacuum pipeline systems down to 1 x 10-9 mbar. A double wound coil combined with an electronic switching circuit ensures low energy consumption, low operating temperatures and extended operating life.

Bellows sealed, the PV25EK solenoid operated valves are available with either aluminum or stainless steel bodies, and in right-angle (PVEK) and in-line (IPVEK) versions, with an overall MTTF of up to 130,000 cycles.

The valve mechanism consists of a solenoid operated moving pole with integral valve pad and bellows assembly. The moving pole is enclosed in an iron casing and the bellows assembly is housed in the lower vacuum body, thus isolating the valve mechanism from the system.

The body terminates in two KF flanged ports and valve pad sealing is by a fluoroelastomer O ring seal. A plastic control box houses the electronic switching and rectification circuit which is protected by a surge proof fuse; a magnetic reed change-over switch provides the switching facility and can be wired for remote indication of valve open/closed position. The switch terminals and mains electrical terminals are also located in the control box.

Improved circuit board design has achieved enhanced life expectancy up to 5 times that of the previous design. Overall MTTF for the valves is up to 500,000 cycles. The valves are provided with separate plug and socket connections rated at IP65 and comply with IBM electrical standards.

PV25EKA Features:

  • Transient high power for opening - electronically switched
  • Low energy consumption in teh 'hold open' position
  • Enclosure rating to IP55
  • Grease free vacuum
  • MTTF up to 130000 cycles
  • Circuit protected against transient low voltages
  • Improved circuit board reliability
  • User friendly plug and socket connections to IP65

Vacuum Isolation Safety Valve Pfeiffer Adixen ISV 25, DN 25 ISO-KF, 110/115 V, 50/60 Hz, 115901 / 066881

Adixen ISV Safety Isolation Valve 115901 Overview

The Pfeiffer Adixen ISV series valve is used at the inlet of rotary vane pumps (4 to 20 m3 /h) whenever isolation is required with vacuum circuit, in case of power failure. In addition, the ISV isolation valve acts as a venting valve for the rotary vane pump, while isolating the vacuum chamber. Suitable for neutral or slightly corrosive gas.

Adixen ISV Features:

  • Total safety for pumping systems
  • Low energy consumption
  • Low dust production, thanks to slow return to atmospheric pressure
  • Optional dry nitrogen gas, can be injected instead of air
  • Operation in all positions
  • Opens only when the inlet pressure of the pump is lower than the pressure into the vacuum chamber

Pfeiffer Adixen ISV Applications:

  • Safety feature between rotary vane pumps and turbomolecular or diffusion pumps. Avoid hydrocarbon backstreaming from the rotary vane pump.

ISV Isolation Valve Operating Principle:

Start-up conditions: The different parts of the valve are at atmospheric pressure. No power is supplied to electric coil. The piston is opened under pressure from return spring.

Operating conditions: The electrical coil is powered. The solenoid valve closes, isolating the upper chamber of the valve from external air. The pumping is performed in the direction of the arrow (“pump”).

Note: on closing, a slight air flow of air (about 7 x 10-2 mbar) enters the vacuum chamber.
