*Results were achieved using PD-Tip™ syringe tips from BRAND with distilled water and instrument equilibrated at ambient temperature (20° C), and with smooth operation. Empirical values may differ from values obtained under test conditions due to variations in factors beyond our control, including temperature.
The predetermined ISO 8655-5 tolerances were not exceeded.
Limitations of Use:
This instrument is designed for dispensing samples, observing the following physical limits:
Use between +15°C and +40°C (59°F and 104°F) of instrument and reagent
Vapor pressure up to 500 mbar
Kinematic viscosity:
20 mPa/s with 50mL PD-Tip™ syringe tips
260 mPa/s with 5mL PD-Tip™ syringe tips
977 mPa/s with 1mL PD-Tip™ syringe tips
Operating Exclusions:
Never use this instrument with:
Liquids attacking polypropylene (PD-Tip™ cylinder), polyethylene (PD-Tip™ piston), LCP (PD-Tip™ piston 0.1mL), or PC/PBT and polycarbonate
Avoid aggressive fumes (danger of corrosion)
Oxidizing liquids - can attack metallic parts and the electronics (HandyStep® electronic)
Note: Instrument and tips are not autoclavable (BIO-CERT® PD-Tip™ syringe tips are available). For disinfection of instrument you may use commercially available disinfecting solutions as long as they do not attack PC/PBT or damage the display on the HandyStep® electronic.
