Overview
The accu-jet® pro elevates pipette control to the next level. Its ergonomic grip works well with both small and large hands. The speed range dial lets you set maximum pipetting speed, while still retaining touch-sensitive, continuously adjustable speed control. Plus, it has an unparalleled soft blow-out control to minimize disturbance of cell pellets or density gradient interfaces.
The Accu-Jet Pro offers the following features:

Its ergonomic design features a smoothly curved shape to eliminate pressure points for operator comfort; weighs only 6.7 oz.

Pressure-sensitive buttons provide improved pipetting speed control, plus a motor-speed-limiter control thumbwheel adds extra assurance with pipettes as small as 0.1mL.

LED charge indicator flashes when approximately 2 hours of pipetting time is left; instrument can be operated while charging.

Long-life, environmentally-friendly NiMH battery supplies approximately 8 hours of continuous pipetting (with a 10mL pipette); special pulsed-mode charger eliminates "lazy battery effect".

Limitations of Use
This instrument is designed for pipetting liquids, observing the following physical limits:

Use between +10°C and +40°C (50°F and 104°F) of instrument and reagent
-
Density up to 9.0 g/cm³
-
Vapor pressure up to 500 mbar; Aspirate slowly above 300 mbar, in order to prevent the liquid from boiling
-
Use with graduated and volumetric pipettes of glass or plastic in the volume range of 0.1mL to 200mL with a sucton tube outer diameter <9.2mm
Operating Exclusions
Never use this instrument with:
-
Highly flammable liquids (e.g., ether, acetone and other liquids with a flash point below 0°C)
-
Liquids whose vapors have a corrosive effect or attack the materials silicone or EPDM
-
This instrument is NOT designed for Pasteur pipettes

A & J Vacuum Services provides repair service for all types of High Vacuum equipment. We perform Turbomolecular Pump repair, Turbo Pump Repair, Dry Pump repair, Vacuum Pump repair, Mass Spectrometer repair, Rotary Vane Pump repair, Vacuum Booster repair, and Leak detector repair. Our highly trained technicians have years of experience and guarantee the highest quality service.
We operate at our own full service repair facility in Clifton, NJ. We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment including; complete line of decontamination, cleaning, drying, balancing, vibration analysis and software to minimize failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
We support all major manufacturers including Pfeiffer Vacuum, Alcatel / Adixen, Edwards Vacuum, Varian, Oerlikon / Leybod Vacuum, Vacuubrand, and Agilent Technologies.
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and long pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10-9 Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
Every pump and instrument is extensively tested for 48 hours. During our final tests, we monitor total pressure, temperature, vibration and noise level utilizing newest testing technologies and techniques specified by OEM.
