New Leybold Scrollvac7 Scroll Dry Vacuum Pump, 1-phase, 50/60 Hz, 100-127 V, 200-240 V, 141007V10

Leybold Scrollvac 7 Overview:

New Leybold Scrollvac 7 Plus dry vacuum pumps are produced to operate in a broad spectrum of applications - general laboratory, research, General vacuum pumping applications, Mass Spectomerty, Backing turbo pumps, Research and development and many more other vacuum applications. Pumping Speed 6.1 m3/h , 3.6 cfm

Each of the available Leybold ScrollVac pump models (Scrollvac 7 Plus, 10 Plus, 15 Plus, and 18 Plus) consists of two spiral forms - one moves in an orbiting motion relative to the other, fixed spiral which provides the ultimate vacuum performance. This eccentric design allows several crescent-shaped volumes to be generated. During this process, the volumes are driven from the outside to the inside of the spirals resulting in gas compression. Leybold ScrollVac 7 is known as very quiet scroll pump. The Leybold ScrollVac is now equipped with the latest technology with a universal voltage power supply for implementation throuthout entire world within voltage range from 100-127 VAC / 200-240VAC 50/60 Hz. The Leybold ScrollVac 7 Plus pumps are truly dry vacuum pumps as all the internal bearings, with their hydrocarbon lubricant, are isolated from the vacuum space. The body of the Leybold ScrollVac pump includes a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll. The orbiting scroll design is controlled by an electric motor through an eccentric crank on the main motor drive shaft. Gas that enters through the inlet of Leybold ScrollVac 7 pump is compressed by the movement of the orbiting scroll design and moved towards the center of the fixed scroll. The compressed
gas enters the exhaust port near the center of the fixed scroll and is exhausted from the ScrollVac 7 pump through the outlet port. The Leybold ScrollVac 1 Phase pump is equipped with the lattest technology Scroll Pump controller. The Leybold ScrollVac 7 1-phase integrated pump controller manages the supply of current to an embedded 3-phase internal electric motor in accordance with operating conditions.

The Leybold ScrollVac 1-phase scroll pump controller nominally supplies the motor with a 60 Hz frequency. The ScrollVac pump controller monitors power, temperature, and will
protect the pump in the event of operation under sustained high load or under fault conditions. The controller provides the user interface.

The Leybold ScrolVac 7 pump may be operated in these modes:

  • Manually, using the buttons on the interface panel. Refer to Figures 2 and
    13.
  • Remotely via the 15-pin D-SUB digital I/O connector

The Leybold ScrollVac can be operated via Logic Interface. The ScrollVac pump controller can be operated via the 15-pin D-SUB digital I/O connector. The signals on the logic interface are of the following types:

  • Control inputs: these are switch-type signals that are used to control the
    pump
  • Status outputs: these outputs identify the status of the system.

The Leybold ScrollVac 7 pump can be operated manualy using interface panel buttons which includes unique Standby mode that reduces pump speed to 70% of full speed to extend lifetime of the tipseals and liftime of all internal bearings.

The Leybold ScrollVac 7 features Gas ballast control to pump high vapour loads, gas ballast can be delivered into the pump to prevent condensation of the vapour carried by the pumped gases. Air can be introduced to the low vacuum stages through the gas ballast control (Manual Figure 1, item 3). Alternatively, an inert gas such as nitrogen can be supplied through a suitable external valve and by using the appropriate adaptor,
available as an accessory. All surfaces of the Leybold ScrollVac 7 pump which are exposed to the pumped gases are free from copper, zinc and cadmium. Exposed components include: anodised, aluminium scrolls, aluminium housing, nickel-plated inlet and exhaust ports, PTFE composite tip-seals, various stainless steel parts and fluorocarbon elastomer seals. Other materials of construction not exposed to vacuum include steel, copper, hydrocarbon lubricant and chemically resistant polymers.
