Leybold TMP 1000C Overview

The Leybold TURBOVAC TMP1000C turbomolecular pumps featuring grease-lubricated bearings. These TMP1000C Turbo Pump units are engineered to pump vacuum chambers down to pressures in the high-vacuum range. A NT20 TURBOTRONIK frequency converter and a forevacuum pump are required for the operation of the TURBOVAC.

These TMP1000C Turbo Pumps are NOT suitable for operation without a forevacuum pump.

Leybold TMP 1000C Turbomolecular pumps are NOT suitable for pumping either gases which contain dust particles or liquids.

Turbomolecular pumps without a purge gas feature are suitable only for moving air or inert gases. They are NOT suitable for pumping aggressive or reactive gases.

TURBOVAC versions identified with a "C" in the model number are equipped with this purge gas feature, it protects only the bearing area and the motor in the TURBOVAC.

In particular the TURBOVAC TMP 1000C pumps are very successfully operated in mass spectroscopy applications, gas and liquid chromatographic analysis, CD, DVD and hard disk production, manufacturing of large-surface optical layers, and non-corrosive semiconductor fabrication processes.

The most important advantages of the TURBOVAC TMP 1000C product line are:

  • Oil-free pumps for the generation of clean high and ultra-high vacuum conditions
  • High performance in any orientation
  • High degree of operating reliability
  • Easy to operate
  • Compact design

Oerlikon TMP1000C Applications:

  • Coating:
  • Data storage/magnetic Flat panel displays
  • Optical coating
  • Large area coating
  • Decorative coating
  • Metallization
  • Wear protection
  • Metallurgy
  • Research and Development:
  • Surface analysis
  • UHV/XHV systems
  • Particle accelerators
  • Fusion experiments
  • Space simulation
  • Semiconductor Processes:
  • Load locks and transfer chambers
