Return and Exchange Policy
A & J Vacuum Services will offer a refund or exchange on most products purchased at AJVS.com. Our goal is to satisfy our customers by exchange, refund, or repair, as outlined in this policy.
Rules and Conditions:
A & J Vacuum Services offer returns for most items within 10 days of receipt of shipment.
Defective items may be repaired or exchanged at our discretion for the same or manufacturer's equivalent model only.
Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase.
All returned merchandise must be unused and in complete original packaging. It must contain all original accessories, literature, instructions and documentation.
Customer is responsible for all freight and insurance charges.
No returns will be accepted without an RMA.
New unopened returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Open box returned items must be approved and are subject to a 25% restocking fee. All approved returns received after 10 days are considered late and are subject to 50% restocking fee. All unapproved returns are subject to 50% restocking fee.
No returns or exchanges on:
All opened items including; o-rings, bearings, repair kits, any electronics, turbo pumps.
Special order items (as indicated in product descriptions.)
Any merchandise that was modified as a custom solution.
Any equipment that has been used.
Any oil, grease, oil reservoirs.
Refund and Payments:
If payment was made by credit card, it will take 7-10 days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement.
If payment was made by check, the refund check will be issued after 10 business days from the date of purchase.
Return and Exchange Procedure:
In order to return your merchandise you must obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization.
If your order was placed online:
1. Login into your account at AJVS.com
2. Select "View Orders I have made" under 'My orders'
3. Select the order you wish to return and select 'Return' and follow the onscreen instructions.

Complete the online form and attach packing slip to your shipping box.

*Please note that all returns must be received within 10
days of RMA issuance. Upon receipt of the returned item, store credit for the amount of the purchased item will be issued electronically to the email address that was provided when the order was placed.
The RMA Number must be clearly visible on the outside of the box shipping.
It is recommended you ship via the same insured service (as was sent to you) with a tracking number.
Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.
We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages.
Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise.

Any warranty contained herein shall be to original Buyer only. New products sold by A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. are covered under manufacturer warranty from date of shipment to buyer. Refurbished products sold by A & J Vacuum Services, Inc. are covered by limited warranty against defects in materials as outlined in product description pages. A & J Vacuum Services' liability under valid warranty claims is limited, at the option of A&J Vacuum, to repair, replace, or refund an equitable portion of the purchase price of the product.
A&J Vacuum Services shall not have any liability for any defect in material or workmanship unless notice of such defect is received by us within warranty period.
All items claimed under warranty policy, must be returned to A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. facility within warranty period specified. Items expendable in normal use are not covered by this warranty. All warranty replacement or repair of parts shall be limited to equipment malfunctions which, in sole opinion of A&J Vacuum Services, are due or traceable to defects in original materials or workmanship. All obligations of A&J Vacuum Services under this warranty shall cease in the event of abuse, accident, alteration, misuse, contamination, third party involvement or neglect of the equipment.
In-warranty repaired or replacement parts are warranted only for the remaining unexpired portion of the original warranty period applicable to the repaired or replaced parts. After expiration of the applicable warranty period, Buyer shall be charged at the current prices for parts, labor and transportation.
All warranty items must be returned to A&J Vacuum Services prepaid, on customers account, collect shipments will be return to customer at their expense. A&J Vacuum Services will try to resolve all claims in timely manner upon warranty evaluation.
The Buyer understands and acknowledges that the products may require installation in carefully controlled and monitored operating environments and that properly trained or skilled personnel will be required in order to achieve proper performance from the products. A&J Vacuum Services expressly disclaims any responsibility for loss or damage caused by the installation of its products by the buyer other than improper operating environments and in accordance with proper operating procedures. In no event will A&J Vacuum Services be liable for any damages caused by the customer's failure to perform its responsibilities, or for lost profits, any downtime or other consequential damages, even if A&J Vacuum Services has been advised of the possibilities of such damages, or for any claims against the customer by any other party. Warranty will expire as a result of nonpayment or payment being late.

If the order is shipped within New Jersey, the law requires that local sales tax of 7% be added to the order total including the amount of the shipping charge.

Customer shall bear the risk of transportation. A&J Vacuum Services, Inc is not responsible for any merchandise damaged, lost or stolen by carrier. To avoid any complications with your delivery you may select insured service.
Customer shall maintain its existing insurance coverage for the items being repaired. A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. will not be responsible for any items damaged by fire, pipe water damage, mechanical breakage, floods and other causes of nature.
All items purchased or repaired must be removed or picked up from A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. facility with the period of 60 days. A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. shall charge storage fee for storage at A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. facility. A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. reserves the right to store items elsewhere. The cost and risk associated with storage shall be customer's liability.
Retention of title:
A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. shall retain title to any and all accessories, parts or exchange equipment until fully paid. A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. reserves the right of lien against Customer's item to be repaired / maintained which came into possession with A&J Vacuum Services, Inc.
Cost estimate fee:
Customer shall be invoiced for any and all work performed in connection with the issuance of cost estimate as well as any additional expenses incurred during this process in the event the Customer decides not to perform this repair or purchase replacement unit (troubleshooting time, materials and labor).
Order Cancellation Policy:
Our goal is to ship all orders within one business day of receiving the order; therefore most of our orders begin to be processed within the first few hours of receipt. If you contact us via phone or email to cancel your order prior to it being processed we will gladly cancel your order free of charge. However, if your order has already been processed for shipment we will not be able to cancel your order. You may return the order in accordance with our regular return policy.
A&J Vacuum Services, Inc. reserves the right to demand a reasonable advanced payment at the time of purchase. All payment shall be made by common means, credit card, wire transfers or checks. Customer shall not withhold any payments due to warranty claim. Late payments will result in warranty cancellation.
Missing or damaged goods:
It is the customer’s responsibility to report missing or damaged goods within 24 hours of receiving a shipment. By not submitting a claim in a timely manner you are acknowledging that the shipment was received in full and without damage. All claims must be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org including your order number, details about the problem, pictures of the packaging, and pictures of any damage to the products. Please retain all packaging materials when submitting a claim.
All purchase order submissions are subject to human verification. AJVS reserves the right to reject a purchase order that conflicts with our terms and conditions. When submitting a purchase order without approved terms, the document can only be used for basic reference information. In the event of conflicting terms, only AJVS standard terms and conditions will apply to the order.
By using PayPal as your payment method, you acknowledge responsibility for any fees and withholdings that PayPal deducts from the original payment and/or refund in the event your order needs to be cancelled or modified. To avoid such fees, it's recommended to process your credit card with us directly.
By purchasing this insurance you are protected from damages that occur in transit from our facility to the destination up to AJVS liability limit. The cost of transit is not covered under this policy. Any return shipments would be the responsibility of the customer. This policy only covers damages, and doesn't cover loss by the carrier. AJVS must be notified of shipping damage within 24 hours of receiving the package. Pictures must be taken of both the original packaging and the damage to the product(s). In the event of a shipping damage claim, a deductible will be required based on the type of commodity and its value. Please contact AJVS customer support with any questions about the deductible for specific pieces of equipment.
Shipment Signature Requirement:
All shipments require an adult signature upon delivery. FedEx could, at their discretion, request ID to verify the identity of the recipient. This helps prevent fraud, theft, and other unfortunate circumstances. If FedEx requests to see identification and the recipient refuses, the customer will be responsible for return shipment and re-shipment costs that are caused by the refusal of the delivery.
