Overview:
Dow Corning Laboratory High Vacuum Grease is designed for sealing and lubricating vacuum and pressure systems.
It is a stiff, nonmelting silicone lubricating material that maintains its consistency.
Features:
- Good lubricating and sealing ability
- Low volatility to hold deep vacuums
- Nonmelting
- Good thermal stability
- Excellent resistance to water, chemicals, high and low temperatures
- Insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, glycol, and glycerine
- Unaffected by most vegetable and minerals oils, many organic compounds, and most common gases
- Resistant to most aqueous solutions of inorganic salts and to dilute acids and alkalies
Applications:
- Recommended for vacuums reaching between 1 x 10-5 and 1 x 10-6 torr. (It is recommended that the grease be preconditioned under vacuum and temperature until these limits are reached to avoid sample contamination.)
- Seals and lubricates chemical processing equipment
- Sealing vacuum and pressure systems
- Lubricate synthetic rubber gaskets and seals in high temperature applications

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
