Pfeiffer FAK 040 / PK Z30 008 Overview:

Certain processes release vapors that can significantly reduce the service life of rotary vane vacuum pumps and their operating fluids. Thanks to their high adsorption capacity, filters remain highly effective even at low levels of vapor contamination.

FAK adsorption filters are filled with activated carbon and feature a filter insert containing the adsorbent material, housed within a cylindrical casing. The insert is equipped with a bottom strainer and a removable cover, both of which function as sieves. The cover also secures the filling material in place, preventing spillage if the filter is tilted. A metallic seal between the insert and the filter housing ensures that the media drawn in or expelled by the vacuum pump is directed through the filter material.
