Pfeiffer ZFO16 / PK Z70 003 Overview:
Zeolite traps utilize adsorption to prevent hydrocarbons from back-streaming from oil-sealed two-stage vacuum pumps into other high vacuum components within the system. The Zeolite Trap ZFO 16 is top-mounted on the intake flange of rotary vane vacuum pumps. Since zeolite traps cannot be cooled, they are not suitable for use as condensers. Typically, these traps are installed either in the intake line of a vacuum system or directly on the vacuum pump's intake flange.

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
