Leybold Phoenix L300i Overview:

Leybold Phoenix L300i represents next Generation in Helium Leak Testing. Phoenix L300i Helium Leak Detector opens up new domensions of productivity and reliability for your applications.

The Leybold Phoenix L300i is a portable multipurpose helium leak detector and equally well suited to both service and series production testing. The rugged modular design and its ease of use make the Phoenix L300i one of the most user-friendly leak detectors in its class.

Leybold Helium Leak Detectors permit the localization of leaks and the quantitative determination of the leak rate. In practice the leak detector performs this task by firstly evacuating the part which is to be tested, so that gas from the outside may enter through an existing leak due to the pressure difference present. If only helium is brought in front of the leak (for example by using a spray gun) this helium flows through the leak and is pumped out by the leak detector. The helium partial pressure present in the leak detector is measured by a sector mass spectrometer and is displayed as a leak rate. This is usually given in terms of volume flow of the helium.

Leybold Phoenix L300 Applications:

  • Quality Assurance
  • Ideal Tool for industrial series production testing
  • Automotive Industry
  • Analytical Instruments
  • Systems Manufacture
  • Power Station Engineering
  • Research and Development

  • High sensitivity
  • Most robust and reliable ion source
  • Flexable application areas
  • Maximum mobility due to the wireless remote control RC 310 WL

Phoenix L300i Customer Benefits;

  • Lowest detectable leak rate for helium <5 x 10-12 mbar l/s
  • Leak detection starting at an inlet pressure of 15 mbar
  • Short He recovering time (<5 min. )
  • 10 display languages selectable
  • Switchable for the detection of H2, 3He, and He
  • Helium background suppression upon single key press (Auto-Zero)
  • Trend /bargraph leak rate display
  • Oil-sealed or dry compresing backing pumps for rapidevacuation of the device under test and for producing a high gas flow in the sniffer mode
  • The optimised valve block ensures a significaly reduced recovery time after suffering helium contamination and high pumping speed at inlet.

PHOENIX Leak Detector Set-up and options:

  • PHOENIX L300i / Oil sealed vacuum system. Optimazed leak detector for most standard applications (Ordering PN17214 / 251000)
  • PHOENIX L300i Dry / Entirely oil-free vacuum system. Integrated helium contamination protection. (Ordering PN17215 / 251001V01)
  • PHOENIX L300i Modul / Additional forevacuum system oil-sealed or dry, depending on the application. For applications involvingshort cycles and/or testing of large volumes.
