The pumping speed of our Pfeiffer Okta Line Roots Pumps (Vacuum Boosters, Vacuum Blowers) ranges from 250 to 25,000 m³/h. They can be optimally employed for a wide variety of low and medium vacuum applications.

The Pfeiffer Vacuum Okta integrated overflow valve is standard in all convectioncooled pumps. This makes it possible to switch the pump on at atmospheric pressure. The pump is thus automatically protected from thermal overload. The gain in additional pumping speed allow for shorter cycle times in load lock applications and time-critical processes. Monitoring with fault-prone pressure switches and slow start up with cost-intensive frequency converters is no longer needed.

The gear and bearing chambers in Pfeiffer OKTA 1000 Roots Booster Pumps (Vacuum Boosters, Vacuum Blowers) are completely separate from the gas pumping chamber. Because the rotors operate without making contact, dry operation is assured.

A further advantages of Pfeiffer OKTA 1000 Booster: thanks to air cooling, operating costs are significantly lower than with water cooling. The design principle of Pfeiffer Okta WKP 500 Roots Pumps (Vacuum Boosters, Vacuum Blowers) has been expanded to include magnetic couplings. Thanks to these hermetically sealed pumps we very low leak rates. We have developed special pumps that meet the highest explosion protection requirements for processes that take place in explosive environments or for evacuating explosive gases.

The portfolio includes both standard pumping stations from the CombiLine series as well as customer-specific system solutions in combination with various backing pumps, such as rotary vane, screw or rotary piston pumps.

The high-precision production technology of Pfeiffer Vacuum OKTA 1000 Roots pumps makes it possible to achieve very high compression values, which in turn allows for maximum pumping speed at very low gas exit temperatures. Pfeiffer Vacuum Roots pumps offer low operating costs at high uptime, since electrical power and (depending on the process) a gaseous purge medium (e.g. air) are all that they require. A high cost water-cooling unit is not required. The magnetic coupled version makes leaks at the shaft feedthrough an issue of the past.

Repair Steps
  1. Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
  2. Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
  3. Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
  4. Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
  5. Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
