This Pfeiffer TMU 071Turbomolecular Drag Pump has a pumping velocity of 60 liters per second and a final pressure of 1 x 10-8. TMU071P It has been thoroughly examined and is ready for broad range of applications within the research and industrial industries. The TMU071P (PM P02 800). This Turbo Pump is designed for a wide range of applications in the research and industry fields. The Turbomolecular Pumps TMH 071 P/TMU 071 P may only be used for the purpose of generating vacuum. The turbopumps may only be used to pump those media against which they are chemically resistant. For other media the operator is required to qualify the pumps for the processes involved.
A turbopump is a gas turbine that is made up of two independent components a rotodynamic pump and a driving turbine. They can be mounted on the same shaft or customarily geared together. A turbomolecular pump is a form of vacuum pump similar to a turbopump which is used to obtain and hold a high vacuum. These pumps work on the principle that gas particles can be given momentum in a wanted direction by reiterated collision with a traveling solid surface. In a turbomolecular pump, a quickly spinning turbine rotor 'strikes' gas particles from the intake of the pump towards the exhaust in order to make or hold a vacuum. We operate at our own full service repair facility which allows us to quickly and economically perform all repairs in a timely manner. Our advandced machinery enables us to handle all facets of the service and repair process. AJVS utilizes industry standard vibration analysis equipment and advanced testing equipment to troubleshoot and minimize all equipment failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
