Edwards mXDS 3 / A74401906 Overview:
The Edwards mXDS3 is the new generation small completely oil free, dry scroll pumps.
Edwards mXDS3 improves on legacy nXDS3 series scroll pumps by offering small footprint with great base pressure and pumping speed, lower power consumption and lower noise. Gas ballast allows for pumping of condensable vapours including, water, solvents, dilute acids and bases.
Edwards mXDS3 pumps also feature the latest in tip seal technology giving significantly longer life between tip seal changes. Integrated inverter drive with auto sensing voltage input delivers optimized pumping performance globally.
Edwards mXDS3 pumps are designed to be integrated system and pumping system.
Edwards mXDS 3 Features:
- Lubricant-free means totally clean and dry vacuum to prevent cross contamination.
- Compact, at only 8 kg it is well suited for integration into OEM and analytical instruments, snall system builder and laboratories.
- Low maintenance, tip seal change when required(typically 2 years)
- Quiet Operation with low low noise level, it makes for better quality working enviroment.

Edwards mXDS3 and mXDS3s are clean oil free pumps with no oil to top up, replace or dispose of. They typically have a lower power requirement compared to similar capacity pumps making them great for energy savings, an ideal choice for helping to reduce your carbon footprint. The optimised fan cooling is beneficial in reducing noise for quieter operation and a pleasant working environment.

We operate at our own full service repair facility which allows us to quickly and economically perform all repairs in a timely manner. Our advandced machinery enables us to handle all facets of the service and repair process. AJVS utilizes industry standard vibration analysis equipment and advanced testing equipment to troubleshoot and minimize all equipment failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
