Overview:
The Edwards Adjusable Oil Drain Kit is supplied configured so that the gas ballast flow rate is equivalent to that with the gas ballast control on the pump in position ‘II’. If required, you can adjust the gas ballast flow rate.
The Oil Drain Kit is designed for use with an RV3, RV5, RV8 or RV12 pump (fitted with an EMF oil mist filter) which operates continuously with gas ballast switched on. You cannot use the Oil Drain Kit if you want to introduce a purge gas into the RV pump. If you want to introduce a purge gas into the RV pump, you must fir a Gas Ballast Adaptor to the pump (refer to the RV pump instruction manual) and oil cannot be returned from the pump.
The Edwards Vacuum Clean Application Oil Return Kit A50523000 conserve the pump oil, by returning the oil trapped in the mist filter to the pump.
When fitted, the adjustable oil return kit returns oil trapped in the oil mistfilter back to the pump, through the gas ballast port. This Edwards Oil Return kit reduces oil loss from the pump and laso reduces the need to check the oil level in the pump.
This oil Return kit can be only used if the gases pumped do not contaminate the oil. On all Edwards RV3, RV5, RV8 and RV12 pumps Oil Drain Kit is fitted in place of gas ballast control knob.
In normal operation, the oil level will be at or below the level of the drain adaptor on the Edwards EMF oil mist filter.

Overview:

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
