L Ultra High Vacuum Grease / APIEZON L Overview:
The Apiezon L family of hydrocarbon high vacuum greases has been serving the market for a number of years and features lubrication product highly regarded worldwide for their quality, consistency, and excellent performance in vacuum applications. Apiezon L greases are silicone-free and therfore highly resistant to creep - the undesirable phenomenon traditioanlly associated with silicone-based lubricants.
Apiezon L Grease is a silicone-and halogen-free ultra-high vacuum grease suitable for use in scientific and industrial applications. Apiezon L Grease has the most advantageous vapor pressure properties of all Apiezon grease products and is therefore suitable for use in ultra-high vacuum applications. Apiezon L Grease is regularly used by highly respected international organizations such as The European Space Agency, NASA, and NATO.
Apiezon L Grease is designed for use at ambient temperatures (generally between 10 to 30 degrees Celsius). If you are looking for a grease capable of performing at higher temperatures, Apiezon AP 101 or Apiezon H Grease may be more appropriate.
Apiezon L Ultra-High Vacuum Grease is Equivalent to Agilent 6040-0289 Grease.

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
