Edwards XDS100B Overview:
The Edwards XDS 100B Scroll Booster pump pump has an innovative bearing shield design that isolates the vacuum environment from all forms of lubricant, not only making it totally dry but hermetically sealed.
The Edwards XDS100 Scroll Booster pump is a compact and reliable booster pump which is suitable for use on vapour handling processes.
The XDS100B Booster with pumping mechanism sedign specifically for high pumping speeds. XDS-100B cannot exhaust directly to atmosphere, and must be backed by primery pump. XDS100B is intended for use in conjuction with Edwards XDS35i or Edwards XDS46i scroll pumps.
The body of XDS 100B booster pump includes a fixed scroll and orbital scroll. The XDS100B is a truly dry vacuum pump, as all the bearings with hydrocarbon lubricant are isolated from the vacuum space.
The Booster motor is controlled by an inverter, which manages the supply of current to the motor in accordance with operating conditions.
Edwards XDS 100B Scroll Booster pump does not have gas ballast option, condensation is not likely to occur in the pump as the normal operating pressure is too low.
- Lubricant-free within the vacuum envelope and hermetically sealed means totally clean and dry vacuum to prevent cross contamination
- No atmosphere to vacuum shaft seals means bearing are completely isolated, which prevents process attack and means the bearings run cooler and last longer
- Simple single sided scroll design means routine maintenance is done in minutes for low cost of ownership and maximum up-time
- No oil changes required eliminating costs of contaminated oil disposal
- Inverter drive for consistent pumping speed at 50/60 Hz

Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
