Edwards XDS 35i Features:
- Lubricant-free within the vacuum envelope and hermetically sealed means totally clean and dry vacuum to prevent cross contamination
- No atmosphere to vacuum shaft seals means bearing are completely isolated, which prevents process attack and means the bearings run cooler and last longer
- Simple single sided scroll design means routine maintenance is done in minutes for low cost of ownership and maximum up-time
- No oil changes required eliminating costs of contaminated oil disposal
- Inverter drive for consistent pumping speed at 50/60 Hz
XDS 35i / A73001983 Overview:
The Edwards XDS35i pump has an innovative bearing shield design that isolates the vacuum environment from all forms of lubricant, not only making it totally dry but hermetically sealed.
The Edwards XDS-35i shield also protects the bearing from any process vapors. XDS 35i gas ballast allows vapor to be handled and opens up the range of applications to many that were previously unsuited to scroll pumps. The inverter drive controls the motor characteristics and ensures the pump always runs at optimum speed.
Edwards XDS35i pumps also feature the latest in tip seal technology giving significantly longer life between tip seal changes. Integrated inverter drive with auto sensing voltage input delivers optimized pumping performance globally. Edwards nXDS35i pumps are designed to be completely field serviceable.

AJVS utilizes industry standard vibration analysis equipment and advanced testing equipment to troubleshoot and minimize all equipment failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
