AP 100 Ultra High Vacuum Lubricating Grease / APIEZON AP 100 Overview:
The Apiezon AP family of hydrocarbon high-vacuum greases has been serving the market for a number of years and includes products highly regarded worldwide for their quality, consistency and excellent performance within vacuum applications. The greases are silicone-free and highly resistant to creep - the undesirable phenomenon often associated with many silicone-based products.
Apiezon AP 100 Grease is a silicone-free vacuum grease and lubricant. Containing PTFE, the AP100 brand of lubricating greases exhibits extremely high levels of lubricity and has been shown to provide eight times the level of lubrication offered by standard, petroleum-based lubricating greases. Apiezon AP100 is designed for use at ambient temperatures (generally ranging from 10 to 30 degrees Celsius). If you are seeking a grease capable of effectively performing at higher temperatures, Apiezon AP101 or Apiezon H Grease may be more appropriate.
The grease is an ultra-high vacuum lubricating grease which has anti-seize properties, making it an effective protector and lubricant in ultra high vacuum applications. It demonstrates an extremely low water vapor pressure of 7 x 10^[-11] Torr at 20 degrees Celsius. It is recommended for use at ambient temperatures and does not suffer from the contamination problems associated with silicone-based greases (these include commonly-recognized phenomena such as "creep" or "carry-over"). Apiezon AP100 grease is relatively easy to clean and remove using hot water and an aqueous glassware detergent, hydrocarbon or chlorinated solvents.

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
