Among the diverse series of measurement gauges manufactured by Pfeiffer Vacuum, the ActiveLine Series (containing the IKR subset, with versions IKR 360 & 361) features some of the newest technologies incorporated into the field of gauge design. In particular, new developments in recent years have vastly improved the durability of these gauges. The ActiveLine Series of Pfeiffer Vacuum gauges now features a dual-chamber design, whereby contaminants are isolated and collected within the first chamber, while the second chamber offers a clean environment for measurement. Likewise, the interior surface texture of the measurement chamber is fitted to prevent measurement errors caused by sputtering, thus improving the stability of the device. As an added benefit for user convenience, the measurement chamber and ignition tool can easily be replaced.
The IKR Subset of Pfeiffer ActiveLine gauges includes both low-current (IKR 360) and high-current (IKR 361) versions. The former is ideally suitable for vacuum applications in the low-to-medium vacuum range, with an added emphasis on the elimination of contaminants. The latter version is especially suited for high-intensity vacuum applications, and emphasizes providing the ideal ignition characteristics for your vacuum application, even within the low pressure range.

We operate at our own full service repair facility which allows us to quickly and economically perform all repairs in a timely manner. Our advandced machinery enables us to handle all facets of the service and repair process. AJVS utilizes industry standard vibration analysis equipment and advanced testing equipment to troubleshoot and minimize all equipment failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
