Overview:
The Agilent TV401/301, 9698973M014 Turbo Pump Control Unit is a solid-state frequency converter which is driven by a single chip micro-computer and is composed of two PCBs which include power supply and 3-phase output, analog and input/output section, microprocessor and digital section.
The Varian TV401/301 969-8973M014 power supply, together with the 3-phase out-put, converts the single phase AC mains supply into a 3-phase output which is required to power the pump.
The controller can be operated in two ways:
- via digital/analog I/O connector
- via serial RS 232 or 485 connector

AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
