Leybonol LVO 500 Diffusion Pump Oil / L50005 Overview:
Pump fluids used in oil diffusion pumps, such as LVO500, must have a low vapor pressure at room temperature and possess strong resistance to thermal decomposition and oxidation. A high surface tension is essential to minimize oil film creep. The fluids should also be chemically inert, have a high flash point, and exhibit low heat of evaporation. In addition, they should support high pumping speeds across a broad pressure range while remaining cost-effective.
No single pump fluid can fulfill all of these criteria. Therefore, the selection of pump fluid must be based on the operating pressure and the specific requirements of each application.

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
