SOGEVAC SV 40 BIFC / 960362V01 Overview:
The Leybold SV 40 BIFC Vacuum Pumps are designed for pumping of inert gases in the range of rough vacuum, between atmospheric pressure and ultimate pressure of pump. When the pump is used to remove condensable vapours, periodic opening of the gas ballast valve will be required.
Leybol SOGEVAC SV40 BI FC vacuum pumps allow space saving in your developments with minimum customer design constraints.
Improved lubrication circuits and mechanical tolerances provide a constant low noise level at all working pressures. This provides a new standard in work area comfort to those operating your system. All lubrication circuits as well as the gas ballast system have been integrated into the pumps’ major components allowing limited sealings and a reduced number of parts. As a result, improved product reliability and durability is gained with prolonged maintenance intervals.
Leybold SV40 BI FC pumps carry on with the proven and user-friendly maintenance concept of the former generation. All maintenance points are located on the front of the pump. Enhancements include an unambiguous angle mounted oil-sight glass offering visibility from two sides and a unique system that allows an easier exhaust demister replacement.
Pump is shipped charged with LVO 420 oil ready to be installed.

AJVS utilizes industry standard vibration analysis equipment and advanced testing equipment to troubleshoot and minimize all equipment failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
