TW 220/150 Turbo Pump Cartridge / 800160V0005 Overview:
The Oerlikon Turbovac TW 220/150 Turbo Pump is a dual inlet Turbo Pump designed for Mass Spectrometers Instruments to evacuate up to three vacuum chambers. TW 220/150 have a mounting housing and is designed to be integrated into a system.
Oerlikon TW220/150 Turbo Pumps are suitable for pumping air and clean gases.
The TW 220/150 pump comprises essentially a multi-stage rotor with the stator group, and the drive. The first section of the rotor are two turbomolecular pump stages while the second section represents a Holweck stage.
The Holweck pumping stage increases the permissible forevacuum pressure level markedly when compared with the classical turbomolecular pump. The pumps have gas inlets into the turbo stages, the triple-inlet pumps have a third gas inlet into the Holweck stage. The two triple-inlet pumps are very similar, they differ mainly in the Holweck stage and the operating speed.

Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
