The rotary vane pumps are single-stage, oil-sealed, rotary positive displacement pumps designed for applications in the coarse and medium vacuum range. They are offered in a standard version with a conventional shaft seal, or as an M version featuring a non-contact, wear-free magnetic coupling drive. The pump housing is hermetically sealed.
A built-in gas ballast system allows controlled introduction of ambient air or inert gas into the suction chamber. This helps minimize condensate formation within the pumping system.
These rotary vane pumps are also equipped with a vacuum safety valve, which isolates the pump from the vacuum chamber during intentional or unintentional shutdowns. It vents the pumping system using displaced gas to prevent oil from backstreaming into the vacuum chamber. Upon startup, the valve opens after a short delay.
