Turbovac 250 i / 820051V1000 Overview:
The Leybold Turbovac i line brings the latest hybrid bearing design, ultimately offering the cleanest high vacuum conditions. The pumps are available with a compact interface which offers the control of one to two accessories, basic RS 485, USB and DIGITAL I/O control. In general, the pumps come stand-alone.
With the Leybold Turbovac 250 i, high functionality meets outstanding performance. Our model 250 i turbomolecular pump range with an integrated vacuum system controller provides many features that have, until now, been available only in costly external pump control units. The Turbovac 250 i turbo pump has a pumping speed of 225 l/s of N2 (Nitrogen).
Designed to offer the best performance-to-size ratio within the ISO 63, 100 and 160 flange size range, the Leybold Turbovac 250 i features a cutting-edge rotor and drag stage design, contributing to high performance and unparalleled pumping speeds, especially for light gas varieites.
Turbovac 250 i offers USB+ and a 15-pin digital I/O interface. A wide selection of interface options, housing and flange configurations, as well as accessories completes this product line. The unique oil-free hybrid bearing system with lifetime-lubricated ball bearings will likewise boost your productivity and reduce the cost of ownership.
Turbovac 250i comes without any additional cooling device.

We operate at our own full service repair facility which allows us to quickly and economically perform all repairs in a timely manner. Our advandced machinery enables us to handle all facets of the service and repair process. AJVS utilizes industry standard vibration analysis equipment and advanced testing equipment to troubleshoot and minimize all equipment failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
AJVS repair process:
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly of the pump, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and log pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10 -Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
