This LEYBOLD SC 5D OEM Major Service Kit is the original Leybold Tip Seal Replacement Kit. Please refer to Operating Instructions for more detiles.
The Leybold SC5D scroll pump is also know as SCROLLVAC series pumps.
Each Leybold SC 5D Scroll pump 133 100 consists of two Archimedes spirals offset within each other by 180 degrees. Thus several crescent-shaped pockets of different sizes are created.
With the aid of an eccentric drive, the second spiral orbits about the fixed spiral thereby reducing, respectively increasing the volume of the pockets whereby the gases are conveyed from outside to inside thereby being compressed.
