The Agilent Technologies TwisTorr 84 FS is a turbomolecular pump for high and ultra-high vacuum applications. The TwisTorr 84 FS is equipped with new and improved bearings and its TwisTorr drag state technology enables high compression of gases such as Helium and Hydrogen. The TwisTorr 84 FS is designed to pump any type of non corrosive gas and can be used with a smaller backing pump (5 m3/h).
The Agilent Varian TwisTorr 84 FS pumping action is obtained through a high speed turbine (max. 81000 rpm) driven by a high performance 3-phase electric motor. The TwisTorr 84 FS is free of contaminating agents and, therefore, is suitable for applications requiring a "clean" vacuum.
The TwisTorr 84 FS pump consists of a high frequency motor and a high-strength aluminum alloy turbine fitted with 9 bladed stages and 3 TwisTorr drag stages which are in the form of four disks. The turbine rotates counterclockwise when viewed from the high vacuum flange end. The TwisTorr 84 FS rotor is supported by permanently lubricated ceramic ball bearings. The static blades are precisely situated with the help of spacer rings and are made of stainless steel. The TwisTorr stators are in the form of machined disks with parallel spiral pumping channels. During normal operation, the motor is fed with a voltage of 54 Vac three-phase at 1350 Hz.
The Agilent TwisTorr 84 FS turbomolecular pump can be water cooled or air cooled. In order to prevent the pump from overheating, a thermistor sensor is mounted near the upper bearing.

Varian Cooling Fan for Varian TV 301 Navigator Turbo Pumps.
Overview:
This Cooling Fan is designed to be used with the following Turbomolecular Pumps:
The Turbo V250 pump consists of a high frequency motor driving a turbine fitted with 8 bladed stages and 3 Macrotorr stages. The turbine rotates in an counter clockwise direction when viewed from the high vacuum flange end.
The turbine is made of high-strength, light aluminium alloy, and is machined from a single block of aluminium. The turbine blades have five different angles, from 42° to 10°, while the Macrotorr stages are in form of discs.
Mounting Bracket designed to mount Varian TV 801 SCIEX Turbo Pump, DN 160 ISO-F, 8698933R001, turbo Pump on SCIEX unit.
The Varian TV 1001 Navigator 9698947 is an integrated system with a turbomolecular pump for high and ultra-high vacuum applications with its relevant controller. The system can pump any type of gas or gas compound. It is not suitable for pumping liquids or solid particles. The pumping action is obtained through a high speed turbine (max. 38000 rpm) driven by a high-performance 3-phase electric motor.
The TV 1001 Navigator 969-8947 is free of contaminating agents and, therefore, is suitable for applications requiring a "clean" vacuum. It is equipped with auxiliary connectors to supply an additional fan, to control the vent valve, to be controlled from a remote site by means of an host computer connected through a serial line (RS232 or RS485).
The TV 1001 9698947 Tubro Pump is available in six different models that differ only in the high vacuum flange. The pump consists of a high frequency motor driving a turbine fitted with 8 bladed stages and 4 Macrotorr stages. The turbine rotates in an anticlockwise direction when viewed from the high vacuum flange end. The turbine is made of high-strength aluminium alloy, machined from a single block. The Macrotorr stages are in the form of four discs. The turbine rotor is supported by permanently lubricated high precision ceramic ball bearings installed on the forevacuum side of the pump. The static blades of the stator are made of stainless steel.
These Varian TV 1001 9698947 are supported and accurately positioned by spacer rings. The Macrotorr stators are in the form of selfpositioning machined discs with pumping channels and an opening restricted by the corresponding rotor discs. These are made of aluminium alloy. During normal operation, the motor is fed with a voltage of 54 Vac three-phase at 715 Hz. To reduce losses during start-up to a minimum, the frequency increases according to a ramp with a higher initial voltage/frequency ratio.
The pump 969-8947 Varian 1001 TV can be water cooled or air cooled: in the first case the customer can use the dedicated channels on the pump body, in the second case an external optional fan is available. A thermistor sensor is mounted near the upper bearing to prevent the pump from overheating. The pump is balanced after assembly with a residual vibration amplitude less than 0.01. The pump can operate in any position and can be supported on the high vacuum flange.
The connection of the forevacuum on the side of the pump is a KF 40 NW flange. The dedicated controller is a solid-state frequency converter which is driven by a single chip microcomputer and is composed of two PCBs which include power supply and 3-phase output, analog and input/output section, microprocessor and digital section. The power supply, together with the 3-phase output, converts the single phase AC mains supply into a 3-phase, low voltage, medium frequency output which is required to power the pump. The controller can be operated by a remote host computer via the serial connection. A Windows based software is available (optional).
