The Agilent Technologies TPS-Flexy is a do-it-yourself turbo pumping system. The assembly consists of the TwisTorr 84 FS or 304 FS Turbo Pump, depending on your preference, an on-board or rack controller, and an IDP-3 Dry Scroll Pump. The TPS-Flexy package comes with assembly instructions for easy installation.

About Agilent TPS-Flexy Turbo Pumping System Components:
The Agilent TwisTorr FS Turbo Pumps are compact, reliable and energy efficient turbomolecular pumps. The TwisTorr Turbo Pumps consist of a spinning rotor disk, new and improved bearing, floating suspension that optimizes pumps’ performance, and a TwisTorr drag stage technology which enables high compression of gases.

The Agilent Technologies IDP-3 / Varian IDP 3 Dry Scroll Vacuum Pump is an innovative, compact, high-performance, oil-free vacuum pump that is suitable for a wide variety of applications. It is the smallest scroll pump made for general vacuum applications, which makes it easy to integrate it into OEM systems.

The Agilent Technologies TwisTorr 84 FS-AG and 304 FS-AG Rack Controllers are micro-processor controlled, solid-state, frequency converters with self diagnostic and self-protection features. The enhanced features of these controllers allow greater control and communication capabilities, such as vent valve control, active gauge pressure reading, and pump operation parameters control.

The Agilent Technologies TwisTorr 84 FS on-board controller is driven by a single chip microcomputer. It consists of two PCBs, analog and input/output section, microprocessor, and digital section. The controller can be connected to a host computer and be operated via the serial connection.

A & J Vacuum Services provides repair service for all types of High Vacuum equipment. We perform Turbomolecular Pump repair, Turbo Pump Repair, Dry Pump repair, Vacuum Pump repair, Mass Spectrometer repair, Rotary Vane Pump repair, Vacuum Booster repair, and Leak detector repair. Our highly trained technicians have years of experience and guarantee the highest quality service.
We operate at our own full service repair facility in Clifton, NJ. We have invested in state-of-the-art equipment including; complete line of decontamination, cleaning, drying, balancing, vibration analysis and software to minimize failures. Our in-house machine shop is capable of machining various components, prototypes and housing conversions as needed.
We support all major manufacturers including Pfeiffer Vacuum, Alcatel / Adixen, Edwards Vacuum, Varian, Oerlikon / Leybod Vacuum, Vacuubrand, and Agilent Technologies.
Repair Steps
- Full incoming inspection and run up time check, vibration check, drive inspection.
- Full disassembly, decontamination and cleaning.
- Pump is balanced utilizing state-of-the-art equipment from the world leader in equipment balancing and analysis to reduce noise and vibrations and extend bearings life.
- Assembly and replacement of all necessary parts such as shafts, bushings, bearings, sleeves, O-rings, gaskets, seals, wicks, etc. Only parts that meet or surpass OEM specifications are used to ensure dependable highest quality service and long pump life.
- Final test and leak check. The pump in fully assembled condition is checked for vacuum seal. Leak test to 1 x 10-9 Mbar l/s. Vibrations are analyzed and test data is digitally recorded.
Every pump and instrument is extensively tested for 48 hours. During our final tests, we monitor total pressure, temperature, vibration and noise level utilizing newest testing technologies and techniques specified by OEM.
